Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Template notice: this is a general-purpose terms of service template for a self-hosted WP Fleet installation. It is provided for convenience only, is not legal advice, and has not been reviewed by an attorney. Whoever operates this installation should review and customize it (organization name, governing law, contact details) and confirm it meets their obligations before relying on it.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WP Fleet ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

The Service lets you connect and monitor WordPress websites you own or manage: tracking plugins/themes, auditing SEO content, running one-click updates, taking FTP/SSH backups, running PageSpeed Insights checks, following an RSS feed of WordPress/WooCommerce/WordCamp news, and optionally sharing feed items to connected social accounts (LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp) or publishing them to a connected WordPress site via the Post Automation feature.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify the administrator of this installation promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your Content and Credentials

You are solely responsible for the WordPress sites, FTP/SSH servers, and third-party API keys/OAuth accounts you connect to the Service, and for ensuring you are authorized to connect and act on each of them (for example, that you own or have permission to manage any WordPress site you add, and that any application password, FTP/SSH, AI provider, PageSpeed Insights, LinkedIn/X app, or WhatsApp Cloud API credential you enter belongs to you or that you're authorized to use). The Service acts on your behalf using the credentials you provide — actions taken (updates, backups, published posts, social shares) are your responsibility.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

5. Third-Party Services

Certain features (AI SEO suggestions, PageSpeed Insights testing, LinkedIn/X posting, WhatsApp messaging, RSS feed fetching, and WordPress.org API checks) rely on third-party services and require you to supply your own API key, OAuth connection, or credentials. Your use of those third parties is governed by their own terms, and any usage costs, rate limits, or account restrictions they impose are between you and that third party — the Service is not responsible for third-party service availability, pricing, policy changes, or data handling practices.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service's software, design, and branding belong to its operator/developer. You retain ownership of the content and data you connect to or generate through the Service (your website content, RSS selections, generated SEO suggestions, social shares, etc.). Any AI-generated suggestions are provided as recommendations only and should be reviewed by you before use.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that automated actions (updates, backups, AI suggestions, social posts, scheduled RSS fetches) will always succeed or be accurate — always verify results, especially before relying on an automated plugin/theme update, a published post, or an AI-generated SEO recommendation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or business, arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to damage to a connected WordPress site, lost content, backup failures, the results of an automated update or publish action, or reliance on AI-generated suggestions. Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting the administrator. The administrator of this installation may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any other reason at their sole discretion.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of this installation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. (Operator: replace this section with your actual jurisdiction.)

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed to the administrator of this installation at:
